San Leandro Police Arrest Pair For Video Heist

Two men, one from Union City and the other from Alameda, have been charged with attempting to steal video equipment from a commercial van on Doolittle Drive.

 

Two men were arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly breaking into a commercial van at 14266 Doolittle Drive to steal video equipment, police say.

The van belonged to North American Video Corp., a vendor of video equipment and supplies according to YellowPages.com.

According to a police report, the incident began at 5:35 am when officers responded to an audible car alarm.

Police say that suspects Christopher Miller, 37, of Union City, and Brian Belger, 34, of Alameda, were found inside a van whose window had been smashed in.

Police say they caught the two men removing video equipment from the van. Miller and Belger were arrested for auto burglary and transported to jail.
