UPDATE: San Leandro Man, Union City Woman Dead in East Oakland Shooting

Shooting erupted at a sideshow in East Oakland on Sunday night, killing a San Leandro man and wounding a San Leandro woman.

A San Leandro man and a mother from Union City were killed Sunday night when shooting broke out in East Oakland. Another woman, a San Leandro resident, was wounded in the shooting. 

Eric Bush, of San Leandro, was just a day past his 29th birthday when he was shot and killed, local media report. The name of the wounded woman, who is 28, has not yet been released.

The Union City woman who was killed was identified as Latoya J. Kenny, 28. Kenny was the mother of two young girls, the Bay Area News Group reports.

The shooting broke out around 9:20 p.m. near the East Bay Dragons
Motorcycle Club on the 8700 block of International Boulevard, according to Oakland Police Department spokesperson Holly Joshi. The three victims were found with gunshot wounds near the clubhouse, Joshi said.

The wounded San Leandro woman was transported to Highland Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Joshi said.

The news group reports that the incident happened during a "sideshow." 

Sideshows — large, unsanctioned street parties including car and motorcycle rallies — have been an East Oakland tradition for several decades. Violence and car wrecks have often accompanied the parties.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oakland Police Department's Homicide Section at (510) 238-3821.
