San Leandro Man Suspected of Home Invasion Robbery Arrested After High-Speed Chase

Toryon D. Hardy, 23, of Hayward — on probation for robbery — and Anthony Scott, 20, of San Leandro, who is on probation for assault with a deadly weapon, were arrested according to the Oakland Tribune.

A high-speed police chase of a stolen Jaguar sedan led to the arrest of two felony suspects after a home invasion robbery in Oakland, the Oakland Tribune reports.

Police are still looking for two other suspects, according to the Tribune. The two men arrested are Toryon D. Hardy, 23, of Hayward — on probation for robbery — and Anthony Scott, 20, of San Leandro, who is on probation for assault with a deadly weapon, the Tribune reports.

Both men were found inside the 2002 Jaguar S-Type sedan wearing stolen tennis shoes, the Tribune reports. In addition, both denied involvement in the robbery.

The robbery occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday in East Oakland, the Tribune reports. A woman was about to take packages from her Jaguar's truck when she was reportedly approached by four men, one with a gun, according to the Tribune.

She was forced into her home by the men, where they took a television, cell phone, tennis shoes that belonged to the woman's boyfriend, other items, and the Jaguar, police told the Tribune.

Police found the Jaguar with four occupants around 5:45 p.m. Monday in Fruitvale a pursuit began, the Tribune reports. After the Jaguar crashed into a parked vehicle in the 5400 block of MacArthur Boulevard, the four occupants ran off, according to the Tribune.

Hardy and Scott were arrested immediately on suspicion of the crime, but the other two suspects escaped, the Tribune reports. Both Hardy and Scott were arrested on suspicion of home invasion robbery, vehicle theft and felons in possession of an assault weapon.
