San Leandro Police Department has released a sketch of a suspect of a residential robbery.

Provided by the San Leandro Police Department

On July 14, approximately 11 p.m., a Chinese family was asleep in their residence located in the 2000 block of Britannia Lane. The two suspects were described as two Black male adults, both were approximately 5'10" tall and weighed around 150 pounds. They were wearing dark clothing and one of them was armed with a hand tool.

The suspects entered their residence through an open window, demanded money from the family and they threatened to harm them with a hand tool they possessed if they chose not to cooperate. The victims cooperated and the suspects fled with the loss. Nobody was physically injured during the robbery.

Suspects will target citizens that have not been proactive in burglary prevention. This includes keeping accessible doors and windows shut, installing surveillance cameras and alarms to deter them from being targeted.
