Family, friends and community members will gather July 27 in support of Michelle Le, a nursing student who went missing from Hayward two months ago.

It’s been almost two months since 26-year-old nursing student  went missing. Though police have yet to find any clues to her whereabouts and are investigating the case as a homicide, Le’s loved ones continue to maintain hope.

On Wednesday evening, exactly two months since Le’s disappearance, family, friends and community members will gather at Mt. Eden Park in Hayward from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to show their commitment to bringing Le home.

“The last two months have been a nightmare; it’s exhausting. But we’re still determined to honor her life and bring her home,” said Krystine Dinh, Le’s cousin. “This rally is a chance for us to gather with her community and bring hope and strength to each other.”

Le, a San Mateo resident, was last seen about 7 p.m. on May 27 while attending clinical rotations at the Kaiser Medical Center in Hayward. Classmates said she stepped out to grab something from her car, which was parked in the garage next to the hospital. Her white Honda SUV was found less than a mile away. She was never heard from again.

Wednesday’s rally will be held near the hospital where Le was last seen. Participants will meet Mt. Eden Park before taking to the streets in a peaceful march, Dinh said.
