The stickup occurred around 2:53 pm Monday when police received multiple calls regarding a robbery in progress at the Westgate Shopping Center.
The suspects -- two men, at least one armed with a handgun -- were gone by the time police arrived.
The suspects reportedly demanded money from cashiers at gunpoint. Employees cooperated and the suspects fled out the front doors.
The Walmart heist is similar to a crime that occurred in September, when armed gunmen robbed the Bancroft Avenue Safeway store in San Leandro.
Police have made no arrests in that case.
