Police Find Gunshot Victim on E 14th Street

An Oakland resident suffered from multiple gunshot wounds early on Monday morning.

On Monday morning, approximately at 12:59 a.m., officers responded to the 14200 block of E. 14th Street to investigate a report of a male suffering a gunshot wound.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 30-year-old Hispanic male from Oakland sitting in the passenger side suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital where he is in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The victim and his friend were waiting at the signal light, when the two suspects who were walking on foot approached them. The first suspect shot at the victim’s vehicle multiple times as it drove away north bound on E. 14th Street.

“This is an active investigation and were asking for the public’s help to provide any information that could assist us with this case,” said Lt. Tudor.
