Police Blotter: Ten Robberies, 54 Arrests During Week

Two assaults, 19 batteries,14 residential and 10 auto burglaries were also reported

 

Between Sunday, April 15th, and Saturday, April 21st, police made 54 arrests. A total of 14 residential and 10 auto burglaries were reported. Two assaults, 10 robberies and 19 batteries were reported during the seven-day period.

One arrest occurred when fire fighters extinguished a blaze in a garage (pictured above) that police say housed .

Sunday, April 15th

Eight arrests were made.  One residential and two auto burglaries; three robberies and one battery were reported to the police department.

A suspected drunk driver was arrested on the corner of San Leandro Boulevard and Washington Avenue at 1:27 a.m.  A police report was also filed.

A suspect was arrested on the 1300 block of MacArthur Boulevard for allegedly forging a prescription at 3:10 p.m.

Police responded to a robbery call at 10:04 p.m. on the 1500 block of Washington Avenue.  A suspect was arrested.

Monday, April 16th

Three residential and one auto burglary; one assault with a deadly weapon; three robberies and five arrests were made.

At 7:17 p.m. police responded to a call about an assault that occurred on the 2600 block of West 130th Avenue.  No report was filed and no arrest made.

A burglary on the 2600 block of Benedict Drive was reported to police at 1:25 p.m.  Evidence was collected and a report filed.

A robbery that occurred at 2:38 p.m. prompted police to be dispatched to the 13800 block of E. 14th street.  A report was filed and evidence was collected.

Tuesday, April 17th

Seven arrests were made.  Three batteries; one auto and four residential burglaries were reported.

At 1:15 p.m. a police arrived at the scene of a battery on the 15500 block of E. 14th Street.  A suspect was arrested and statements recorded.

A burglary on the 14900 block of Western Avenue was reported at 1:34 p.m.  Police collected evidence and filed a report.

Police arrested a suspect for petty theft on the 1200 block of Marina Boulevard at 2:25 p.m.

Wednesday, April 18th

Five were arrested.  Three batteries; two auto and two residential burglaries were reported.

Police arrested suspicious person was arrested on the 1400 block of Washington Avenue at 11:28 p.m.


At 5:49 p.m. on the 2000 block of Cleveland Street police responded to a home burglary call.  A report was filed and evidence collected.

A traffic stop at 2:44 a.m. on the Lewelling Boulevard exit off of I-880 led to an arrest.  Police conducted field interviews and filed a report.

Thursday, April 19th

Two batteries, one robbery, two auto, one residential burglaries were reported and eight arrests were made.

A battery was reported at 6:52 p.m. police responded to a battery on the corner of E 14th Street and Broadmoor Boulevard.  Field interviews were conducted.

A robbery was reported on the corner of Hays Street and Castro Street at 6:39 p.m. A report was filed and evidence was collected.

A person suspected of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol was arrested on the 600 block of Lewelling Boulevard at 9:49 p.m.

Friday, April 20th

There were thirteen arrests today.  Two auto and two residential burglaries were reported, as well as two robberies and four batteries.

A robbery suspect was arrested at 3:16 p.m. on the 900 block of Kramer Street

Police filed a burglary report that occurred at 12:11 p.m. on the 2000 block of Doolittle Drive.

A battery suspect was arrested at 11:52 a.m. on the corner of Beatrice Street and Kesterson Street. 

Saturday, April 21st

The end of the week resulted in eight arrests.  One auto and one residential burglary were reported.  One assault, one robbery and six b were also reported.

A disturbance reported at 10:03 a.m. on the 600 block of Lewelling Boulevard.  Police arrested a suspect and filed a report.

At 4:32 p.m. a battery was reported on the 2200 block of Sweetwater Drive.  Police arrested the suspect.

A residential burglary on the 3:42 p.m. on the 15200 block of Hesperian Boulevard was reported to the police.  A report was filed.
