Police Blotter: Burglaries, Disturbances, Shots Fired & A False Alarm

A glimpse at routine police incidents from the prior week.

Monday, Dec. 5

At 5:01 a.m. a stolen vehicle was recovered on the 13600 block of Monarch Bay Dr. Technicians took evidence in the field.

At 10:27 a.m. a burglary was reported on the 900 block of East 14th Street. Officers on the scene collected evidence and filed a report for followup with criminal investigations.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

At 12:29 a.m., police received a report of an individual brandishing a weapon at the corner of Estudillo Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard. Officers responded and gathered evidence and a report was filed.

At 6:15 p.m. officers were called to investigate a drug violation on the 300 block of West Estudillo Avenue. However, the allegeded perpetrators had gone by the time officers arrived and a check of surrounding areas proved negative.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

At 9:19 a.m., police were called regarding a burglary on the 200 block of San Leandro Boulevard. Officers responding to the call took a report and referred the matter to criminal investigations for followup.

At 10:14 p.m., police were called to investigate a burglary on the 800 block of Dowling Boulevard. Officers on the scene collected evidence and filed a report for followup with criminal investigations.

Thursday, Dec. 8

At 4:23 a.m., police received a call reporting a robbery on the 2100 block of East 14th Street, but when officers arrived at the scene they determined that it was a false alarm.

At 6:47 pm., police were called regarding reports of a man with a gun on the 14900 block of Zelma Street. However, by the time officers arrived they could find no suspect in the vicinity.

Friday, Dec. 9

At 8:12 a.m. police responded to reports of a disturbance on 1000 block of East 14th Street. Responding officers placed an offender under arrest.

At 7:42 pm. police responded to reports of a burglary on the 900 block of Begier Avenue. Responding officers collected evidence and took a report, referring the matter to criminal investigations.

Saturday, Dec. 10

At 1:39 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run incident on the 200 block of Cambridge Avenue. Officers at the scene collected evidence and made an arrest.

At 7:45 p.m. police received reports of a disturbance on the 15300 block of Tropic Court, but when officers arrived the area was quiet.

Sunday, Dec. 11

At 2:06 a.m., a traffic stop at Estudillo Avenue and Benedict Drive resulted in an arrest. The subject was transported to jail and evidence was gathered at the scene.

At 12:36 p.m. police were called in response to a disturbance on the 1900 block of Davis Street. Officers arriving at the scene placed a suspect under arrest and filed a report.
