Police Blotter: Grand Theft, Identity Theft, Battery, Burglary & More

A glimpse at routine police incidents during the past week.

Monday, Nov. 28

At 15 minutes after midnight, a traffic stop at the intersection of Marina Boulevard and San Leandro Boulevard led to an arrest.

At 4:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a forgery on the 15200 block of East 14th Street. Officers made contact with the suspect, conducted field interviews and made an arrest.

Tuesday, Nov. 29

At 9:19 a.m., police responded to a report of a burglary on the 200 block of San Leandro Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to the scene, took statements and referred the crime to criminal investigations for follow up.

At 5:44 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 500 block of Floresta Boulevard. Officers arrived to investigate, but it had gone. A search of the area found no vehicle matching the description.

Wednesday, Nov. 30

At 11:51 a.m. officers were called about a burglary on the 1100 block of Victoria Avenue. They took a report of the incident and referred it for follow up investigation.

At 5:46 p.m. officers were called about a robbery on the 200 block of Haas Avenue. They took a report and referrered the incident to criminal investigations.

Thursday, Dec. 1

At 11:22 a.m. and 11:25 a.m., officers responded to back-to-back calls of grand theft. The first incident occurred on the 1300 block of Williams Street. The second was on the 600 block of 143rd Avenue. Officers took reports in both cases and referred the matters for investigation.

At 6:53 p.m., police responded to a call about a burglary in progress at an occupied residence on the 1200 block of 135th Avenue. Officers did not see any suspect in the vicinity when they arrived at the scene. They took statements and referred the matter for subsequent investigation.

Friday, Dec. 2

At 11:30 a.m., police were informed of an auto burglary at the intersection of Anchorage Drive and Oceanside Way. They arrived at the scene, collected evidence and filed a report.

At 9:14 p.m., officers were called to investigate a battery on the 200 block of Haas Avenue. Upon arriving, police were able to mediate the dispute in progress with no further action necessary.

Saturday, Dec. 3

At 11:17 a.m., police were called to the 400 block of Davis Street to look into an alleged identity theft. They took a report and referred the matter to investigation.

At 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery on the 13800 block of East 14th Street. Upon arriving at the scene, police found the victim, but the individual was uncooperative. They filed a report.

Sunday, Dec. 4

At 35 minutes after midnight on Sunday morning, police responded to reports of a person who was either drunk or under the influence of drugs at the intersection of East 14th Street and Broadmoor Boulevard. They arrived at the scene and located the individual, who was placed under arrest.

At 1:48 a.m., police were called to the scene of an automobile accident on the 100 block of Dutton Avenue. Officers made contact with a suspect and discovered hazards that prompted them to make an arrest.
