Police Blotter: Burglaries, Batteries, Weapons Drawn, Identity Theft and Indecent Exposure

A glimpse at routine police activity in the last week.

Monday, Dec. 12

At 9:38 am, police were called about a burglary on the 14200 block of Washington Avenue. Officers collected evidence and filed a report. The matter was referred to criminal investigations.

At 8:52 police took a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 500 block of Bancroft Avenue. Officers filed a report.

Tuesday, Dec. 13

At 9:49 am, police received a report of an identity theft from an indvidual residing on the 500 block of Dowling Boulevard. Officers took a report and referred the matter to criminal investigations.

At 5:20 pm, officers responded to a hit and run incident at the intersection of Davis St. and San Leandro Blvd. Officers located a suspect who was arrested and taken to jail. They collected evidence at the scene to file a report for criminal investigation. They also had the autos towed away.

Wednesday, Dec. 14

At 8:38 am, police received a report of a person brandishing a weapon on the 1600 block of Hays Street. Officers took a report but were unable to locate a suspect.

At 12:54 pm, police received a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 1000 block of East 14th Street. Officers dispatched to the scene located and arrested a suspect who was taken to jai. Statements and supplementary information were collected.

Thursday, Dec. 15

At 2:07 am, police were notified of the burglary of an occupied residence on the 14800 block of Olivia Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene but no suspect was sighted. Evidence and statements were taken. A report was filed and the matter was referred to criminal investigations.

At 9:34 am, police received a report of a battery on the 2200 block of Bancroft Avenue. Arriving officers arrested a suspect and collected evidence at the scene.

Friday, Dec. 16

At 11:36 am, police were called in response to a battery on the 1200 block of Washington Avenue. A report was taken and the matter was referred to criminal investigations.

At 7:01 pm, police received a report of an indecent exposure on the 14700 block of Harold Avenue. Officers dispatched to the scene were unable to locate a suspect. A check of surrounding areas also proved negative.

Saturday, Dec. 17

At 12:08 am, police received a report of a battery on the 800 block of Manor Boulevard. Officers dispatched to the scene collected statements and evidence and filed a report.

At 4:35 pm, a report came in of a person brandishing a weapon on the 2400 block of Cheshire Court. Police dispatched to the scene were unable to locate a suspect.

Sunday, Dec. 18

At 9:04 am, a burglary was reported on the 800 block of Maud Avenue. Officers dispatched to the scene took statements and collected evidence for followup investigation.

At 10:38 am, police were notified of a burglary on the 2900 block of Waterfall Way. Officers dispatched to the scene took statements and collected evidence. The matter has been referred for followup investigation.
