Police Blotter: 57 Arrests, 16 Burglaries Last Week

57 arrests were made this week. Between Sunday, April 22nd, and Saturday, April 28th, there were also 16 residential, 5 auto burglaries, 29 batteries and 8 robberies reported.

 

Here are day-by-day excerpts from the police department's Daily Activity Log from Sunday, April 22nd, through Saturday, April 28th.

Sunday, April 22nd

Six arrests were made.  There was one auto burglary, seven batteries and one robbery.

A hit and run suspect was arrested at 7:00 p.m. on the corner of Hesperian Boulevard and College Street. 

Police were dispatched to an alleged battery at 12:37 p.m. on the 15500 block of E. 14th Street.  A report was filed.

Another battery was reported at 3:18 p.m. on the 200 block of Floresta Boulevard.  Police filed a report and recorded statements.

The only reported robbery happened at 1:57 p.m. on the corner of Estudillo Avenue and E. 14th Street.  Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Monday, April 23rd             

Seven suspects were arrested.  Two robberies, six batteries, one residential and one auto burglary were reported.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 500 block of Lewelling Boulevard at 1:37 a.m.  The driver was arrested.

A battery suspect was arrested at 1:40 p.m. on the 1600 block of Lawndale Avenue.  Police filed a report and recorded witness statements.

Police were dispatched to the scene of a robbery at 9:07 p.m. on the 1200 block of Davis Street.  A report was filed and evidence collected.

At 8:47 a.m. burglary was reported on the 1100 block of Bancroft Avenue.  Police collected evidence.

Tuesday, April 24th

Police arrested 12 suspects today.  Five batteries, one robbery, two auto and one residential burglary were reported.

A suspect was arrested for alleged forgery at 2:59 p.m. on the 1600 block of E 14th Street.  Police recorded witness statements.

Police arrested a suspect for petty theft at 11:57 p.m. on the 1400 block of Washington AvenuePolice took witness statements and filed a report.

A burglary was reported at 10:34 a.m. on the 14300 block of Washington Avenue.  No report was filed.

Wednesday, April 25th

 No assaults or robberies reported today.  Police made four arrests.  Two batteries, four residential burglaries and one auto burglary were reported to SLPD.

At 12:06 p.m. police responded to a burglary of an occupied residence on the 2400 block of Benedict Drive.  Field interviews were conducted, evidence was collected and a report was filed.

A suspicious vehicle was reported to SLPD at 3:11 p.m. on the corner of Douglas Drive and Davis Street.  The driver was arrested and evidence collected.

A battery was reported at 11:16 p.m. on the 15600 block of Wicks Boulevard.  A report was filed.

Thursday, April 26th                                                      

 No assaults or robberies reported again today.  One auto and one residential burglary and two batteries were reported. 

SLPD arrested an auto burglary suspect at 4:40 a.m. on the 900 block of San Jose Street.  Statements were recorded and a report was filed.

A residential burglary was reported at 1:30 p.m. on the 1900 block of Adams Avenue.  A report was filed.

A battery suspect was arrested on the corner of Davis Street and Alvarado Street at 8:23 a.m.  SLPD filed a report, interviewed witnesses and collected evidence.

Friday, April 27th

No assaults reported today.  SLPD made six arrests.  The police department received reports of seven residential burglaries, three robberies and three batteries.

A burglary of an occupied residence was reported at 12:25 p.m. on the 2000 block of Clarke Street.  A report was filed and evidence collected.

A burglary suspect was arrested on the 1200 block of Marina Boulevard at 12:31 p.m.  SLPD filed a report and collected evidence.

SLPD were unable to locate a robbery suspect reported near the corner of Chapel Avenue and Inverness Street at 12:20 p.m.  Police filed a report and recorded witness statements.

A battery was reported on the 15500 block of E. 14th Street at 1:43 p.m.  A report was filed.

Saturday, April 28th

Police ended the week with 15 arrests.  Two residential burglaries, four batteries and one robbery were reported to SLPD.

At 6:39 p.m. police responded to a reported robbery on the 600 block of Lewelling Boulevard.  SLPD arrested the suspect and filed a report.

Police were dispatched to the scene of a burglary on the 2100 block of Washington Avenue at 5:59 p.m.  A report was filed and evidence collected.

The suspect was gone by the time police arrived at scene of a reported battery on the 13400 block of Bancroft Avenue at 12:14 p.m.    No suspect was arrested.
