Update: Mobile Home Fire Victims Were Elderly Married Couple

Fire at Estudillo Trailer Park is fatal.

Bay City News —  Two people were killed in a mobile home fire in San Leandro early Wednesday morning.

According to news reports, the victims were an elderly husband and wife.

Neighbors heard the woman, who was disabled, call out for help but they weren't able to get inside the locked home in time, according to a report on ABC7

Crews responded to the fire at about 3:35 a.m. at the Estudillo Trailer Park, 1468 Grand Avenue, fire officials said.

The fire was knocked down in about 10 minutes and the mobile home was destroyed. Firefighters initially announced that one person had been killed but said later that a second body had been found.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The identity of the victims has not been released pending notification of family members.
