Oakland Teens Arrested in San Leandro Robbery

Four Oakland teenagers were arrested Tuesday after punching a man in the head and robbing him, police said.

The incident took place about midnight in the 100 block of Estudillo Avenue when the teens approached a 62-year-old man who was out walking, reports Inside Bay Area. According to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro Police Department, the young men briefly spoke to the victim before one of the teens punched the man. He reportedly fell to the ground and the teens robbed him before running off. Police did not release what was taken.

The quick action of neighbors reportedly allowed police to catch the young men shortly after the attack. The man's injuries were not serious and his items were returned.
