Man Arrested for Allegedly Robbing Citibank in San Leandro

A man was arrested after allegedly robbing a Citibank in San Leandro late this morning, police said.
 
The bank robbery was reported at about 11:30 a.m. at the Citibank at 1300 E. 14th St. A suspect entered the bank and handed a note to a teller demanding money.

He then fled onto East 14th Street with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. Witnesses provided a detailed description of the suspect, who was spotted shortly afterward in a plaza on Washington Avenue, police said.
 
The suspect was positively identified as the alleged bank robber and was taken into custody. His name is not yet being released, police said.
