Have You Seen These Suspected Burglars?

A surveillance video captured two men and a car thought to be associated with an attempted burglary in San Leandro.

 

San Leandro police have released four still images taken from a video surveillance tape that may record two men and a getaway car involved in an attempted burglary on the 1000 block of Victoria Avenue.

Police say the incident occurred about 3:50 pm on Saturday, December 29, when a resident returned home to find a window screen tampered with.

The homeowner, who had a surveillance camera, examined the footage. It showed two strangers near the house; one is shown trying to pry open the window.

The tape also shows a gold Nissan Maxima, from 1995 to 2000 vintage, parked in the area.

Police released these descriptions:

Suspect 1- White or Hispanic male, approximately 18-22 years old, thin build, short dark hair, thin mustache and goatee. Dark clothing. 

Suspect 2: White or Hispanic male, approximately 18-22 years old, unknown height, medium build, wearing dark clothing. 

"These suspects may be responsible for other crimes in the area," said Lt. Randall Brandt. "Please pass on these pictures to your neighbors and let’s solve this crime together."
