UPDATE: House Fire Displaces 6 in San Leandro

No one was injured in the fire and the residents are being given temporary housing.

By Bay City News—

Six people were displaced in a one-alarm blaze at a two-story duplex in San Leandro this morning, an Alameda County fire spokeswoman said.

Crews responded to a report of a fire at a home at Doolittle and Fairway drives at about 4:25 a.m., fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.

When crews arrived, the fire was fully involved on the first and second floors of the building, Knowles said.

All the residents at the home were out by the time crews arrived.
Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze by 5:20 a.m., according to officials.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The American Red Cross is assisting the residents with temporary housing.
