The suspects were 2 men wearing dark clothing; at least one was armed with a handgun. They were gone by the time police arrived at the scene.

Witnesses said that the suspects demanded money from the store at gunpoint. The employees cooperated and the suspects fled out the front doors of the store heading northbound.

“We are thankful that nobody was hurt during this robbery and that everyone in the store cooperated," said Lt. Randall Brandt. This is unusual for a large retail store to be targeted during peak business hours when it was filled with Holiday shoppers.”

The Walmart heist is reminiscent of the bold robbery of a Safeway store in September by a gang of armed gunmen. Police have made no arrests in that case.
