The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Volvo Construction Equipment & Services at 1944 Marina Blvd., according to Alameda County fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles.

Jacini, a field service technician, was working under a front-end wheel loader that had been lifted up onto support stands when the equipment slipped and fell onto him, California Department of Occupational Safety and Health spokesman Peter Melton said.

Fire crews responded and found Jacini crushed beneath the equipment. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Knowles said.
