From the Alameda County Fire Department and Camp Parks — Fire officials want residents to know that the Camp Parks Fire Department will conduct a controlled vegetation management and training burn beginning Monday and continuing through Aug. 19.
If you smell or see smoke in the Camp Parks Army Reserve Base area located in Dublin, please do not be alarmed. The controlled burn will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.
Prescribed vegetation management burns are carefully planned and controlled burns must meet strict criteria of fuel conditions, weather parameters and fire safety guidelines.
Both the Alameda County Fire Department and San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District the will monitor the burn and be on high alert to mitigate any possible risks to the residents.
We do encourage residents to keep doors and windows closed and small children and pets inside during burn hours.
