Concrete Truck Crashes Into San Leandro Home

Firefighters responded to a report of a truck crashing into a San Leandro home Tuesday morning.

A concrete truck smashed into a house on Marimar Avenue in San Leandro Tuesday morning.

The driver of the truck apparently didn’t set the truck’s emergency brake, Alameda County Fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said. As the driver was getting a tool out of the back, the truck started rolling downhill.

The collision damaged the house’s retaining wall, laundry room and building foundation — but no injuries were reported.
