A Cherryland man who faces animal cruelty charges for beating his 10-month-old puppy asked a judge Thursday if he could visit the dog at this East County Shelter in Dublin where it is being held until the case is finished.
Alameda County Superior Court Judge Mark McCannon denied the request made by Terrell Keith Daniels’ attorney Kevin Taguchi.
The judge is allowing Daniels’ wife to visit the puppy, and asked why the couple has not already attempted to do so.
According to Mercury News, Taguchi said the couple is intimidated by the situation.
“As they should be,” said Judge McCannon.
Daniels is due in court next week to see if he posted bail.
