Arrests In Tattoo Killings Top Police Blotter

44 arrests, a carjacking, four assaults and five robberies top the week's crime count.

 

San Leandro Police announced three arrests Friday, bringing to four the number of suspects being held in connection with the murders that occurred last October .

The arrests involved some neatly timed police work. Three suspects were collared in three different locations over a 15 hour period without any one suspect having time to warn the others to flee.

Monday, Feb 27

Police made four arrests. Citizens reported four residential and three auto burglaries. There were two robberies, two batteries and one assault with a deadly weapon.

A burglary reported at 2:48 pm on the 300 block of Warwick Avenue resulted in an arrest after police brought in a K-9 unit to assist in locating a suspect.

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 4:41 pm on the 100 block of East 14th Street. Police filed a report for investigators.

Tuesday, Feb 28

Five arrests were made this day. Four incidents of battery were reported. There was one robbery. Three cars and one home were burgled.

A battery reported at 1:39 am on the 15000 block of East 14th Street resulted in an arrest.

A robbery reported at 9:48 pm on the 2600 block of Teagarten Avenue was handled by an outside agency.

Wednesday, Feb 29

Eight arrests were logged. Four homes and four cars were burgled. There was one assault and one battery.

One arrest occurred at 5:19 pm when police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 13400 block of Bancroft Avenue.

A burglary was reported at 8:08 pm on the 1700 block of Clarke Street. Police collected evidence for investigators.

Thursday, March 1

Police made nine arrests. Four incidents of battery were reported. There was one assault. Four cars and three homes were burgled.

Three arrests were reported at 11:01 pm in response to a disturbance on the 14700 block of Wicks Boulevard. No other details were provided.

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 10:23 pm on the 500 block of Bancroft Avenue. Police at the scene took statements and collected evidence for investigators.

Friday, March 2

Police made three arrests. There were two robberies and three reports of battery. Three cars and one home was burgled.

One arrest occurred at 7:42 am when police came upon a stolen vehicle on the 1200 block of Washington Avenue.

At 2:26 pm police responded to reports of a burglary on the 500 block of Begonia Drive. Officers collected evidence for investigators.

Saturday, March 3

Police made 11 arrests. There was one residential and two auto burglaries. One assault was reported.

Officers made one arrest for assault with a deadly weapon at 2:29 am on the 1100 block Westbay Boulevard near Purple Pepper Pizza.

At 7:38 pm a carjacking was reported on the 1000 block of Williams Street.

Sunday, March 4

As of 6:04 pm police had made four arrests. Two batteries were reported. One car and one home were burgled.

At 6:54 am a battery was reported on the 1000 block of Bodmin Avenue. Officers dispatched to the scene took statements for investigators.

At 1:55 pm police responded to a burglary on the 2900 block of Merced Street. Officers collected evidence and statements for investigators to pursue.
