Alert Residents Aid in Arrest of Six Burglary Suspects

Police arrested three adults and three juveniles who were residents of Hayward and Oakland.

Thanks to alert residents who immediately called San Leandro Police during two burglaries today, six suspected burglars have been arrested.

The San Leandro Police Department received calls on Thursday from witnesses who provided accurate and timely information to the police dispatch center. These burglaries were not related and they were miles apart, according to police.

The dispatch center immediately started sending staff to the scenes nearly simultaneously. Both burglaries were in residential neighborhoods. The officers arrested subjects in both cases prior to them running from the area.
