The call came at 6:01 Friday evening when many of us in San Leandro were setting the dinner table.

Flames were shooting out the roof of a four-plex at 1320 144th Avenue in San Leandro.

Fortunately, no one was injured in that blaze which firefighters quickly brought under control.
