22 Burglaries On Last Week's Police Blotter

San Leandro Police made 49 arrests from Sunday May 6th to Saturday May 12th.

 

Here are day-by-day excerpts from the police department's Daily Activity Log from Sunday, April 22nd, through Saturday, April 28th.

Sunday, May 6th

The week began with ten arrests.  There was one assault, one battery, three residential burglaries and one auto burglary.

A suspect was arrested on the 800 block of Manor Boulevard 12:52 a.m. when witnesses reported that the suspect was allegedly brandishing a weapon. Police made their report after making the arrest.

On the 300 block of Napoleon Drive, at 10:14 p.m. police came to investigate an reported battery.  SLPD filed their report, conducted witness interviews and collected evidence.

At 1:42 p.m. a home burglary was reported on the 2000 block of Adams Avenue.  SLPD submitted their report.

Monday, May 7th

Very few crimes were reported today.  Only one arrest was made.  SLPD did not receive reports of any assaults, batteries or robberies.  Four residential burglaries and three auto burglaries were reported.   

The sole arrest made today was during a walking stop on the corner of Hesperian Boulevard and Halcyon Drive at 6:48 p.m.  Police did not release any more details of the arrest.

SLPD were dispatched at 9:33 a.m. to the 14900 block of Swenson Street, the scene of an alleged burglary.  Investigators submitted their report and collected evidence.

Tuesday, May 8th

The number of arrests spiked to 7 today.  There was one assault, three batteries, two robberies and three residential burglaries reported to SLPD.

Police arrested a suspect on the 0 block of Dutton Avenue at 9:49 p.m. for allegedly committing assault with a deadly weapon.  Police filed a report and collected evidence to be submitted to investigators.

Police were dispatched to a reported robbery on the 300 block of E. 14th Street at 1:22 p.m.  Police interviewed witness, collected evidence and filed a report.

SLPD filed a report related to a burglary at 4:11 p.m. after being dispatched to the scene on the 2000 block of Doolittle Drive.

Wednesday, May 9th

Crimes reported today include: four residential burglaries, one battery, and one assault.  A total of six arrests were made.

At 9:20 p.m. an assault with a deadly weapon was reported to SLPD on the 800 block of Moraga DriveWitnesses provided statements to police while they were conducting their initial investigation.

A battery was reported at 1:38 p.m. on the 2600 block of San Leandro Boulevard.  SLPD did not provide any further details regarding the reported crime.

Police were called to the 1600 block of Daniels Drive at 12:50 p.m.  to investigate a reported home burglary.  No arrest was made, but a report was filed.

Thursday, May 10th

Four home burglaries were reported today.  Three robberies and three batteries summarized most of the crimes reported.  Five arrests related to various crimes were also made.

At 12:12 a.m. a burglary was reported on the 100 block of E. 14th Street.  Police filed a report and collected evidence.

SLPD was dispatched at 4:04 p.m. to the 100 block of Williams Street to a reported robbery.  Police gathered evidence and arrested a suspect.

Friday, May 11th

SLPD arrested 11.  Five batteries, two robberies; two vehicle and one residential burglary were reported.

A disturbance reported at 8:07 p.m. on the 1400 block of Washington Avenue resulted in one arrest.  SLPD did not provide any further details of the arrest.

A battery was reported at 1:06 p.m. on the corner of Sweetwater Drive and Springlake Drive.

A day-time robbery was reported at 2:04 p.m. on the 100 block of Pelton Center WayA report was filed and an initial investigation completed.

Saturday, May 12th

Three residential burglaries were reported to SLPD.  Police also received reports of one robbery and five batteries.  A total of nine arrests were made.

A robbery on the 14900 block of E. 14th Street was reported at 5:51 p.m.  Police collected evidence and filed a report.

A battery was reported on the 400 block of Bancroft Avenue at 4:58 p.m.  An investigation was conducted and a report was filed.

Police filed a burglary report after being dispatched to the 2000 block of Doolittle Drive at 12:10 p.m.
