After civic activist Joe Collier passed away from a stroke on January 6, Patch wrote an obituary.
In the interview for that article Joe's widow, Esther Holcomb Collier, talked about how they married in 2006 after their respective first spouses had pass away.

Family and friends will hold a memorial service for Joe at 1 pm on Saturday, January 19, at Hilltop Community Church. It is near the Hilltop Road exit on Interstate 80. Esther welcomed all who want to share in the fellowship and celebration of Joe's life.
