Wags & Wuv For Dog Lovers This Saturday

Fun fair at Citizen Canine this weekend benefits local pet rescue groups

Citizen Canine will host a fun fair for dog lovers this Saturday, Feb. 11 called Wags & Wuv. Its organizers say the event, at Citizen Canine's headquarters at 420 Hegenberger Road, in Oakland is open to all "friendly dogs and their leashed humans".

It runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature dogs doing tricks, a Valentine's costume contest, a pet photography booth, food beer and wine tastings, pet massage, low-cost pet micro-chipping, animal accessories on sale, live music, a raffle and more.

Benefitting from the event will be the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, the Golden Gate Basset Rescue and the East Bay S.P.C.A.
