The Alameda County Fair will parade down Main Street in Pleasanton this Saturday to celebrate 100 years in town.
The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. and will run through downtown Pleasanton.
In addition to the Grand Marshall, Morrie Turner, 70 community groups have entered to walk in the parade including:
the Alameda County Blue Star Moms;
District Attorney Nancy O'Malley;
Alameda County Sheriff's Mounted Posse;
Dance 10 Studio, and;
California's Great America Characters.
Expect the quintessential parade experience with mainstays such as marching bands, floats, equestrians and Shriners clowns.
Be prepared for sun and heat and a lot of time on your feet.
