Television Broadcast Schedule for City Council Meetings Announced

Were you not able to attend a City Council meeting? No worries! Watch them live from your living room.

Mayor Cassidy and the San Leandro City Council announced today the official schedule for when City Council meetings and work sessions will be re-broadcasted on local public access television (Comcast channel 15 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99).

In addition to being broadcast live on television and the City website as the meetings occur, they are now being replayed during the following times each week:

  • Wednesday 2:00 p.m.
  • Thursday 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday 9:00 a.m.
  • Sunday 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday 10:00 a.m.
Brand new, state of the art video recording equipment was recently installed in the City Council chambers and went live on October 21st.  In addition to being broadcast on television, the public may view City Council meetings at any time by simply visiting the City's homepage www.sanleandro.org and clicking on the "City Council Meetings" button, where a link to view live meetings will be found.

The monies for the purchase and installation of the new audio and video equipment in the City Council chambers came from Public, Educational and Government (PEG) funds.  PEG funds are collected from franchise fees paid by cable television providers, and may only be used for limited purposes, such as public education.
