These Young Bikers Are On A Roll

Cycling enthusiasts rebound off last week's Bike to Work (or School) Day to push pedal-powered commuting.

 

Last week's Bike to Work or School Day has ridden off into the sunset.

But every morning is another chance to establish a habit that's better for your health not to mention the environment.

Cindy Barreto (pictured above, left), site site supervisor of the preschool at the Davis Street Family Resource Center, added a thank you to the organizers of the program, which donates bikes to needy kids:

This year is so very special due to the efforts of Officer (Louie) Brandt and San Leandro's finest.  Many of the children who brought bikes to school(Thursday) were the recipients of this years bike give away at Davis Street Family Resource Center.  I wanted to share the joy it has brought to so many of the families in this community and at our little preschool.

So if you're fortunate enough to have a bike, maybe today would be a good day to look in the garage and dust it off for a ride.
