The San Leandro Historic Railway Society is proud to announce a new Spring Open House taking place March 8th & 9th at the San Leandro Depot in Thrasher Park. The SLHRS is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the railroads in San Leandro. We welcome the public to come and learn about the Railroad in the East Bay.
Inside our 115-year-old Southern Pacific Depot, visitors can walk through our train museum or watch trains running on our HO Scale model of the Southern Pacific Overland Route with over 4000 feet of track and the largest HO scale helix in the United States!
As a Non-Profit, admission is always free!
Our G&O Garden Railroad will be open outside if weather permits, running larger format trains with an interactive Children’s Area where young train lovers can be the Engineer!
We will be having a Bake Sale to fund our operating costs and a raffle for fun train prizes, so come prepared to have a great time! Donations are kindly welcome.
