San Leandro Big Read - Yoginos: Yoga for Youth

The San Leandro Public Library is pleased to present Yogiños:
Yoga for Youth® at the San Leandro History Museum on April 4, 2014 at 4:00 pm as
part of the San Leandro Big Read 2014. The Library will be partnering with the Society
for Art & Cultural Heritage of India (SACHI), and the Asian Art Museum of
San Francisco to host this special event that is geared toward children ages 4
to 12.  Space is limited and enrollment
will be held to 30 participants. The History Museum is located at 320 West
Estudillo Avenue, next to the Casa Peralta.



Elizabeth "Beth" Reese, Ph.D., E-RYT, RCYT, is the
founder and executive director of Yogiños: Yoga for Youth®: an OHMazing®
interdisciplinary kid’s yoga curriculum in English, Spanish, and Sanskrit and
is a teacher with over 25 years of experience with preK- 12 grades in art,
windsurfing, skiing and yoga. She has a Ph.D. in art museum education and has
taught art history and art education at the university level. A yoga practitioner
for over 14 years, Beth is the mother of three yogis under the age of 15. Her
oldest daughter is the inspiration for Yoginos: Yoga for Youth® as she learned
to navigate challenges associated with “Sensory Integration Disorder” through
practicing all eight limbs of yoga.



Free registration is now open. Register by calling the San
Leandro History Museum at 510-577-3991 between 1:00 and 5:00pm, Wednesday
through Friday. Registration will be limited to 30 participants.
