Japanese Interment in World War II, A Personal Story

The San Leandro Historical Society presents Tak Kato, speaking about his family and how they were uprooted, first to horse stables at Tanforan then to the Utah desert for the duration of World War II. Historical and personal photographs bring the story to life. This FREE event takes place at the Little Brown Church, behind the Casa Peralta at 384 West Estudillo Avenue, on Sunday, March 3, at 1:00 p.m.

After a short break for refreshments, the presentation will be followed by a general meeting from approximately 1:00 to 2:00. Nonmembers are welcome to stay for the meeting.
