Big Read 2013 Kickoff Celebrating Zora Neale Hurston, Harlem Renaissance Author

Lucy Anne Hurston, niece and biographer of Zora Neale Hurston, will be the keynote speaker for the Big Read kickoff. She will discuss Zora Neale Hurston's life and works along with a discussion of her own work as a sociologist and author.

After her presentation, attendees will be given an opportunity to sign up for a library-sponsored book discussion group or attendees can set up their own discussion group to discuss Zora's book Their Eyes Were Watching God. Free copies of the book will be given out to registrants will supplies last.
