Oakland Man Arrested on Suspicion of Possessing…

Where In San Leandro?

On which building does this tree cast its shadow?

There are fewer leaves on the branches now than even a few days ago when this image was taken.

Where in San Leandro can this wall be found?

Rick Olivero was the first person to identify the garden monument in last week's picture puzzle. It is on the house across from John Muir Middle School at the corner of Castro and Williams.

Mike Katz-Lacabe also spotted the landmark (and used Google Maps to cite its address, which spooked Fred Eiger).

Is it City Hall?

I believe its the back of the church on MacAuthur Blvd and Mitchell Ave.. The exact name of the church, I don't know.

I`m going to take a wild guess and say SLHS. I haven`t been there in 40 years but those are the type of windows it had.

looks a little like the library
Carol Parker November 18, 2012 at 02:00 AM
I agree with Francis. I think it is SLHS
Leah Hall November 18, 2012 at 03:21 AM
Yikes! Our SLHS replaced window glazing (aka, "glass") with reptile-textured amber-tint-glass circa 1970? The world, and our town, is strange.

Correct, Daniel. It is the Lewis Street side of the church. But you have the locale. Thanks to all for the guesses.
