EVERY STEP COUNTS 1 MILE WALK/ 5K RUN
Where/When: San Leandro Marina Park; Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
Why Go: By participating in the walk or run you will be supporting the independence, self-sufficiency and quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities. Entry fee includes a T-shirt, prize drawings, goodie bag and refreshments.
Pricing: $30 to walk or run (all of which goes to Stepping Stones)
Where/When: Root Park; Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Explore the creek and learn about water, local animals and plants. Family-friendly activities promote the message of environmental stewardship.
