Senior Flu Shot Clinics Scheduled

Flu immunizations will be given on Oct. 3 and Oct. 10 at the Senior Community Center.

Flu shots will be available to San Leandro seniors on Oct. 3 and Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Senior Community Center. 

The shots will be given on a first-come first served basis. No appointment is needed. Registered Nurses from the Sutter Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice will administer the immunizations, which will include the H1N1 strain.

Seniors with Medicare Part B coverage will not be charged for the shot. Those not covered by Medicare Part B will be charged $25.

Two other shots will also be available at the clinics. Individuals can get a pneumonia shot for $55 and a preservative-free shot for $30. The prices for the additional shots will be charged to everyone.
