Where/When: San Lorenzo Library; Wednesday, March 22 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Why Go: Bring in your children 8 and older to make a beautiful, durable, suncatcher they can be proud of taking home.

BIG BOUFFANT

Where/When: Towne Center Books in Pleasanton; Thursday, March 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Get ready for bouffants and other crazy hairstyles! Take your kids to meet picture-book author Kate Hosford and learn what it takes to write fun and sweet books for kids. 

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Woodrow Wilson Elementary School; Saturday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Register your children ages 4 to 10 in a fun sport that will keep them active and working as a team player. Soccer practice will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on the same day.

CASTRO VALLEY FLEA MARKET

2011 FAN APPRECIATION TAILGATE PARTY

Where/When: Oakland Coliseum - Parking Lot A; Tuesday, March 29 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
