I HIGHLY recommend the Golden Tea Garden in Hayward. It's a beautiful place - my 9 year old LOVES it -, they have a HUGE tea list (though few black teas), very yummy food and reasonable prices. The owner, a former lawyer, is a high magnitude tea lover. You can see the love and attention to detail in everything - from the rose petals that line the floor to the little sugar hearts on the beautiful tea cups. Definitely a place to take your mom, your daughter or your best friend (and most definitely ME!).
