OAKLAND EAST BAY SYMPHONY

Where/When: Paramount Theatre in Oakland; Friday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Listen to the works of Behzad Ranjbaran, Ludwig van Beethoven and Ahmad Pejman by Persian artists; conducted by Michael Morgan.

Why Go: Come by to make some beautiful reclaimed and fashionable art or check out what local artists do with access to a studio and waste stream materials.

Where/When: Bal Theatre; Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate the show that united the Bay Area horror and sci-fi fan community! Learn about the history of horror movies and the story behind Creature Features, with special guests John Stanley and Tom Wrysch.

Pricing: $10 for adults; $5 for seniors, students and children

Where/When: Zocalo Coffeehouse; Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Why Go: Start your spring cleaning early and collect all those goodies in your closets and drawers that you never use anymore, then re-fill your bags with new found treasures! All unclaimed items will be donated to the Davis Street Family Resource Center. 

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Assumption Church; Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a traditional Irish dinner with live Irish entertainment, raffles and a no-host bar!
