After remaining open for about six months, a restaurant bordering San Lorenzo has shut down for good due to lack of sales.
.
It was a family-style eatery that included a bar, big-screen TVs for sports fans to watch games at, and an aviation theme to go along with the neighboring Hayward Executive Airport. The restaurant specialized in several items including chicken wings, waffles, pizza and burgers.
Despite being open seven days a week, the business just wasn't getting enough customers. According to Bill Lambert, Alameda County's Assistant Director of Economic Development, the restaurant's owner Jackie Wilson shut down June 8.
According to Lambert, Wilson is now working with the property owner to offer the business on the market.
This was Wilson's first venture in the restaurant business. He previously was a truck driver before deciding to open his own business.
