San Leandro manager Shon Muffett said Clark's will add new options for landscaping materials and is ready to deliver.

The company is also trying some new tricks to get attention and blend into the community, such as the contest that caught the fancy of San Leandro Patch reader Gayle Hudson.

The contest revolves around the four large rocks pictured above.

Muffett said the smallest rock out front weighs 302 pounds.

The contest is to guess the combined weight of the other three rocks.

All of the boulders are moss rock, a type of landscaping material.

The prize is a guided tour of the Stevens Creek Rock Quarry in Cupertino that comes with a free lunch.

To enter the contest participants will donate $1 to the Davis Street Family Resource Center.

The contest runs through August.

Muffett said the company has done similar contests at other locations in the past, and one winner was just 10 pounds off the correct weight.
