There's a new Mexican grocery store at the north end of San Leandro. Panderia El Pueblo at 688 East 14th Street offers:
- take out food
- meats and fish
- cakes and sweets
- select groceries, milk, eggs and chilled goods
- a modest selection of produce
The store is on the east side of 14th and has a few unmetered parking spots out front. Inside it is clean and fresh. The pleasant scent of the bakery was my first impression and it was a good one.
I liked the butcher's section and there was a small selection of fish as well.
I didn't try the take out food but it seems like a good option for downtown visitors.
Have you tried the store? Any thoughts?
