SmallBiz: Paradiso Owner To Open Another Eatery

"Boulevard Burgers #2" is expected to open in June.

 

Restaurateur Mike Wiesner of Paradiso plans to open his fourth establishment, building on the success of San Leandro's Boulevard Burger to bring a similar 50's-style diner to Castro Valley.

According to the Castro Valley Forum, Wiesner plans to open Boulevard Burgers #2 .

Since Wiesner opened in 1996 it has become one of San Leandro's destination restaurants.

Wiesner also operates the at in Castro Valley and the original Boulevard Burger on MacArthur Boulevard in San Leandro.

In addition to burgers, milkshakes and malts, Wiesner is reportedly seeking permits to serve beer and wine permits at his Castro Valley startup.

Bill Lambert, Alameda County Assistant Director of Economic Development, said the landlord of the Casto Valley building told him that the new diner is expected to open around June.

Wiesner and business associate Gordon Galvan told San Leandro Patch that they have purchased and will reopen, sometime this summer, Alameda's Acapulco Restaurant,
