One-Day Nurses Walkout At San Leandro Hospital
Today's union action is aimed at Sutter Health which will stay open using temporary nurses.
Nurses will hold a one-day walkout at San Leandro Hospital today, the sixth in a series of similar walkouts over 18 months of rancorous negotiations with Sutter Health over a new contract.

- Alta Bates Summit Medical Center facilities in Berkeley and Oakland
- Eden Hospital in Castro Valley
- Sutter Delta in Antioch
- Sutter Solano in Vallejo
About 3,200 RNs as well as several hundred respiratory, X-ray and other technicians will be involved according to the National Nurses Union.
As in the prior five such walkouts, Sutter will keep hospitals open with temporary replacements.
