Dr. Patrick Kennedy of OSIsoft was the keynote speaker Thursday as a new class of San Leandro Leadership trainees graduated this Chamber of Commerce course in practical civics.
Kennedy, whose i is bringing regional and national attention to San Leandro, spoke about the importance of building infrastructure to attract business and jobs.
Next week Kennedy will speak about the project at the Connected World Conference in Illinois.
Thursday's luncheon and ceremony were held at the Main Library.
San Leandro Leadership, which has been in existence since 1994, begins with . That is followed by a one-day-a-month training program that runs from September through June. Trainees learn about the nuts and bolts of municipal government and civic organizations.
