Community Presentation Will Show Ideas to Transform San Leandro's Central Industrial Area

The Next Generation Workplace District Study has determined three strategies to transition the industrial San Leandro area into a vibrant 21st century center workplace district. These ideas will be presented to the community on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The City of San Leandro will be presenting the Next Generation Workplace District Study to interested stakeholders, businesses, property owners and residents at the Zero Net Energy Center, located at 14600 Catalina Street, at 4 p.m.

Gregory Tung, from the design firm Freedman Tung + Sasaki, will show the findings from the study and recommendations on how to transition San Leandro into a 21st century workplace district.

“Many exciting changes will be taking place in San Leandro as a result of the Lit San Leandro fiber optic loop and the new Kaiser medical center” stated Mayor Stephen Cassidy. “The Next Generation Study will help us take advantage of all the positive impacts that will be created by this new development, including making San Leandro a better place in which to live, work, or play for the thousands of new people who will be coming to our city as a result of these projects.”
