Boulevard Burgers No. 2 Celebrates Grand Opening Next Week

Folks will be able to dine on sandwiches, burgers, beers and shakes by Sept. 4.

After sitting vacant for years and going through months of construction, a will open its doors next week.

Located owner Michael Wiesner told Castro Valley Patch folks can start ordering as early as Sept. 4 at "Boulevard Burgers #2."

The diner will serve all-natural, top-quality burgers, beer and wines, sandwiches, malts and milkshakes. Prices range from $5 for the burgers to about $12 for a ribeye steak sandwich.

"It's a gourmet fast-food option," Wiesner said. "It will add something that is not a franchise [to Castro Valley]."

Wiesner also runs and Boulevard Burger in San Leandro, along with at in Castro Valley.

According to him, the secret to running successful restaurants is "great staffing and attention to detail." So far, he has hired about 15 local employees and plans to hire five more.

"We want to be the late-night spot to get a burger," Wiesner said.

In the near future, he plans to add outdoor patio seating and have a grand opening charity event in conjunction with a local Corvette Club.

Boulevard Burgers #2 hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday. For more information on what the menu will look like, check out its website www.boulevardburger.com.

so why do we got to sell beer and wine at the place when you have a lot of school kids in the area for ? so I guess you are not going going to have young folks working at the place . then where is everyone going to park at ? hope your folks do not park at the donot shop across the street .

Kenny, chill out man. The food is going to be very good. I have enjoyed #1 many times and hope to see more local brews available there, like Drakes fine suds. You own stock in Rudy's. They do not do much business at night. Shees, what a bummer you are. This is a good to have, not a chain, locally owned and sourced serving good food. I liked JD's a lot and am pleased to see these guys finally open. Kenny keep waving from your seat at Shari's.

I'm happy to see a good burger joint opening up. I could be biased since I worked at JDs for years, but I think we had one of the better burgers in town. I didn't think we would get another place in cv that would make a good decent burgers. I will be going to Blvd Burgers to try it out. Good luck to you and your business Mike!

I went by the CV Boulevard Burgers on Sunday around 7pm and they were closed. I wanted to try it out. I guess 11am to 11pm are not the hours. :(
