Bayfair Center Celebrates Mothers May 5 and 12

Teaching Self-Sufficiency Through Education will be holding a Mother's Day Appreciation Fair May 5 and 12 at in San Leandro.

There will be vendor stands set up in the mall with various family-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m..

This is designed to be an event for the whole community and a celebration of mothers.

In addition to vendors providing activities there will be singers, dancers, poets and food available.

Bayfair Center is located at 15555 Hesperian Blvd. San Leandro.

According to its website, Teaching Self-Sufficiency through Education began in  2011 as a new community based business which offers assistance to families transitioning to independence. Its mission is to provide services and empowerment to families who may have experienced trauma due to sexual exploitation, domestic violence, substance abuse and homelessness in Alameda County.  You can read more about its programs here.
